So what exactly is Squarespace Campaigns?

Squarespace Campaigns is a newsletter platform. It's a much simpler, easy-to-use alternative to Mailchimp or Mailerite, and I highly recommend it for all authors with Squarespace websites. It allows you to manage your newsletter from the same place as your author website - saving you time and keeping things simple!

I designed this course specifically to help the many authors I speak to who have Squarespace websites set up, but have yet to sort out their author newsletter.

I’m Charlotte Duckworth, and I design beautiful Squarespace websites for authors. Oh, and I’m also an author myself. My novels are published by Quercus in the UK, and Crooked Lane Books in the US.   • Do I need a Squarespace website to use Squarespace Campaigns?

    Yes you do. Campaigns is an integrated email platform and unfortunately you can't use it if your website is hosted elsewhere (ie on Wordpress).

  • How long will this course take me?

    You can easily complete this course in an afternoon! By the end you will have designed and created your very own professional and beautiful author newsletter, ready to send.

  • Is the course self-paced or live?

    The course consists of 20 video lessons that you can complete in your own time. There's no live element. You'll get lifetime course access, so you can take it at your own pace!

  • What will I need to complete the course?

    A computer and good wifi. And perhaps a coffee! Also, before you start the course, you'll need to spend some time preparing the content for your newsletter. Then it will be ready and waiting to populate your shiny new newsletter template!

  • Will you offer me feedback?

    This is a self-paced course and I won't be able to offer feedback on your author newsletter. All the information you need to set up and send your newsletter is included in the lessons. I'm confident that by the end you won't need me any longer!

  • I already have a mailing list on another platform (such as Mailchimp), can I move this across to Squarespace Campaigns?

    Absolutely! It's great that you have already started to build your author mailing list but don't worry, we can move your subscribers across from your existing newsletter platform to Squarespace. It's easy peasy and I show you how to do this in the course.

  • I'm not very good with tech - how hard is it?

    I promise that if you're able to order a book online, you'll be able to understand this course! I go right back to basics and hold your hand throughout the process to make sure that you end up with a beautiful author newsletter, ready to send.

  • I don't know what to put in my newsletter - will the course help with that?

    No, this is a purely technical course, focused on setting up and sending your newsletter and getting to grips with Squarespace Campaigns. However, you'll find lots of advice in my (free!) video above about what to include in your author newsletter. 😊

  • How much does Squarespace Campaigns cost?

    You can send 3 newsletters for free through Squarespace Campaigns. After that, you will need to sign up one of their plans to continue sending newsletters. These start at £4 per month.
